The last figure in this batch. Another Empress NVA painted up as a VC complete with red scarf!

Next up will be a couple of Bell UH-1C choppers for my Marines!
As I started on my Vietnam war project during the summer and have finished a few miniatures now I thought it is time to start on some terrain for my games. I got a 3D printer from my wonderful wife and so the terrain making starts. I got the Anicubic Photon 3d resin printer a wonderful machine indeed. You can get more information here.
Here is a picture of the machine:
I got an STL file of a carribian hut which fits in with the vietnamese rural landscape quite well:
You can get the file here.
I printed the file and build it using superglue which worked quite well. I painted it with my airbrush and a few washings based it and added a palm tree ( available on eBay) and here it is:

Here is a US marine figure next to it . I printed it in the size it came in. Of course you could resize it in any scale you would like. I am quite happy with it. It won’t be the last structure to print for my terrain needs.

If someone knows other STL files useful for my Vietnam war project please leave a comment , thanks.
I got the new North Vietnamese Army soldiers from Empress Miniatures in the post the other day. As there is not such a big variety at the moment ( there are many more to come from the talented Mr. Hicks!) I started to swop some heads on the miniatures. You can find other heads in the french indochine range of Empress.

The one in the middle is the original miniature. The one on the left and right has a new head. There is a little green stuff round the neck missing at the moment.
Close ups of the two with new heads:

And the next three:

I will do another eight figures with a head swap and hopefully I have enough diversity in my NVA squads then.

Over on Wargame News and Terrain you can find a nice review about the new cavalry figures by Fireforge Games. Have a look here if interested.
I just got these in the post:

It is a box of 20 hardplasic miniatures in 28mm scale. These are soldiers ,too like the figures in the older Frostgrave soldiers box but these are female warriors instead of the usual male ones.
Here is the back of the box:

In the box you will find the following sprue with 5 female warriors. There are 4 identical sprues in the box:

front

back
As you can see the bodies are much slimmer then the male ones and they are dressed in a believable way not in chainmail bikinis ! You can build 3 firing figures ( two with bowes one with crossbow) or 5 close combat fighters with spear sword axe or knife. There are enough parts like cloak, backpack and other equipment to build a wide selection of different figures.
Very recommended especially together with the Soldiers ! box ( male soldiers) as they seem to be interchangeable .
I will use them in my Warhammer 40000 setting and arm them with lasguns as militia .
