The dark age archers by Gripping Beast
This is the latest addition to my collection. The dark age archers boxed set by Gripping beast . There are 30 figures in the box . 3 figures on one sprue, 10 identical sprues. Here is a picture of the sprue back:
and front:
As you can see these are complete figures except for the head . So not much for scratchbuilders but if you want a lot of archers all losing an arrow this is the box for you . The heads are quite nice all bare headed so can be used for all kind of figures you can use them for the dark age warriors box by GB and vice versa .
Hope that helps in deciding to get a box or not . One last word though the right arms are not in a correct archers stance but thats only recognisable for people who do some archery themselfs.
Next parcel in the post will be the Scandinavian Infantry plastic boxed set by Fireforge .
The Glover Knights banner bearer
This is the Glover Knight unit banner bearer. I designed the banner differently from my other banners this time. In the books the banners of the sworn Houses are always or at least very often described as showing the Sigil of the house they are sworn to above the own house sigil. Here it is House Stark above House Glover. This makes for a bit of variety on the field of battle later on.
The figure was build with parts from Perry and Fireforge . As can be seen here:
And more pictures of the knight:
And the complete unit (missing one knight, which is not painted yet):
And the complete House Glover mesnie ( – one knight)
And I somehow forgot to show you the House Brax mesnie as far as it is finished last time . So here are the pictures:
Hope you like what you see ! If so feel free to leave a like or a comment
Knight of the House Forrester
Here is another bannerman of House Glover. A knight from House Forrester. The Heraldic device , or Sigil, was designed by me as there is no description in the books. I tried to make visible that he is a Glover bannerman by using red and white ( the colors of House Glover) on this model too.
The model is a mixture of fireforge and Perry parts. The body consists of legs and lower torso from fireforge and upper torso from Perry. As you can better see in the unpainted picture here:
Here are more pictures of the finished knight:
and together with a House Bole Knight:
And with their overlord:

The complete Glover Infantry unit
Here is the finished unit for Dragon Rampant. It will be fielded as a mixed unit so is able to shoot and fight in close combat.
Next I have to finish the Glover light horse unit and then I will do a mixed unit of House Brax, alas with crossbows instead of bows, as a reinforcement for my Lannister army. After that I will do some more scenery to get into gaming at last. If you like what you see feel free to leave a comment or a like!
Knight of House Bole
House Bole are Bannerman of House Glover, rulers over Deepwood Motte. Sworn to house Stark of Winterfell. Here is a knight of House Bole. The sigil was designed by me as a chanting arm. A brown bole on a field devided white and red. The white and red from house Glover to show the status of Bannerman to that house.
The figure is a strait build from the Perry light horse set with a fire forge shield added.
