This is a strait build out of the Mantic Skeli sprue. I painted him first as a test on painting decayed bone and blue eyes. Do you think this is  OK as I painted it ? What would you do differently? Please leave a comment!

Banner bearer of the Stark archer unit

I added the Banner bearer of the archer unit:

The figure is not from the conquest archer set. It is a saxon body from Gripping beast and I think the head is also from this set. The fur cape is greenstuff. The banner is freehand as usual.

The third Starkbowman

Here is the third Stark bowman. he is a strait build from the conquest plastic box. The only thing I added was a fur cape from greenstuff.

A new Stark Bowmen unit

When I was at Crisis in Antwerp in November I got one of the new boxes of plastic bowmen by Conquest games.

The figures are quite nice but it is very difficult to build them in a way that they look like shooting an arrow correctly. Normally the arrow arm is lifted up to the ear when you draw a bow ( I am an sports archer myself) but this is not really achievable with these minis. Anyway I gave them a try and started to build and paint a 12 men bow unit for my Stark Army ( for Dragon Rampant).

Here is the first bowman:

This is a strait build from the box except the hood which was added with some greenstuff. The grass tufts were made with the flock box I got for xmas. You can see a review on the terrain page.

More during the next days.

Agincourt French Infantry 1415-29

This set contains 36 infantry and 6 men at arms/knights. The infantry are armed with spears, crossbows, double-handed weapons and hand weapons. The men at arms have pole arms, hand weapons and cut-down lances/spears. All the figures in this box can actually be used for any Western European army of the period as the clothing and armour styles were very similar. The components of this set can also be mixed with the English Army boxed set (AO 40). Although the men at arms are specifically designed for the 1415-29 period, the infantry could be used for the 1390’s through to the 1430’s/40s.

Agincourt Foot Knights 1415-1429

The figures in this box represent both English and French knights/men at arms from the height of the Hundred Years War. They can actually be used for any Western European Army of this period as similar fashions in armour and clothing stretched across Europe at this time. The figures are armed with polearms, hand weapons and cut-down lances/spears. All the figures are wearing plate armour, half of which are covered in coat armour .
Figures designed by Alan Perry
