As you remember I started building a public house for my games . If you haven’t seen the pictures feel free to have a look here.
With the barn I try a different way of building the walls. I found this mold on Kellerkind Miniaturen a german shop for modelling supplies.
With this mold you can do your own bricks from air drying clay like DAS.
I started build ing a “wooden frame” from extruded polystyrene . Next time I will try real wood I think.
And then I started filling in the gaps with my clay bricks:
This is how far I got last night. More to follow.

Wow. It looks great and I admire your patience and dedication.
thanks. It does take its time but at least it doesn’t take as long as cutting all the bricks from styrene.

I really like the idea to actually build your terrain brick by brick :). How well is the fit of the stones? Could you also make a straight wall with them without the bricks protruding? I look forward to the finalised piece. Should look very naturalistic!
[…] public house. You can find pictures of the public house here and the first pictures of the barn here. I finished the walls and will do the roof at the weekend. Next will be the privy and then painting […]
Interesting using the individual blocks. I would be tempted to use that idea but try to create a mould and cast up multiple sections. Can’t wait to see your progress. Looking good so far.
Will post new pictures eventually
