The chief of the unit and the complete Wildling archer unit

Here is the last missing mini of my 12 man Wildling archer unit for my GoT Dragon Rampant project . This is a strait build from the Frostgrave plastic barbarian set except for the head were I glued the horns on. The head was from my bits box so I can’t really say to which plastic set he belongs to.

I hope you like the unit. I think they look quite good . The Barbarian set is a really good set well sculpted figures and very versatile. Very recommended !

This is a figure build with parts form the frostgrave barbarian and Soldiers set. The body is from the barbarian set the arms from the soldiers set.

At the weekend I completed this archer for my Wildlings. I even managed to build some more Miniatures for a completely different army . The Army of “Tom of Rabeneck” a completely self made force for the GoT universe. I made up everything like heraldry etc. So watch this space for more. Here is the Wildling archer:

The dark age archers by Gripping Beast

IMG_3394This is the latest addition to my collection. The dark age archers boxed set by Gripping beast . There are 30 figures in the box . 3 figures on one sprue, 10 identical sprues. Here is a picture of the sprue back:

IMG_3391As you can see these are complete figures except for the head . So not much for scratchbuilders but if you want a lot of archers all losing an arrow this is the box for you . The heads are quite nice all bare headed so can be used for all kind of figures you can use them for the dark age warriors box by GB and vice versa .

Hope that helps in deciding to get a box or not . One last word though the right arms are not in a correct archers stance but thats only recognisable  for people who do some archery themselfs.
