This is Grunt number VI of the 1st Squad 1st Platoon of my US Marines. Again a Gringo 40 miniature painted with Contrast Colors from Games Workshop.
More to follow!
Here is the next Grunt for my growing Vietnam war collection.

This time it is a figure by Gringo 40 miniatures. An afro-american ( hope that is the political correct designation) GI. These are wonderfull sculpts and are only slightly bigger then the Empress miniatures . They get along quite well so that I will mix both ranges in my american force.
Painted again with Contrast paint from games workshop.
I got my plastic rainforest vegetation in the post yesterday so will start on some scatter scenery shortly.
The next ship or boat is ready to go into the silicone. I will do the mould today.

I am really a bit frightened about how the air vents will show up on the resin cast. We will see tomorrow.

If all works out well “Das Boot” will be available next week.
Here are some pictures of a Cruel Seas game in progress, showing a ship provided by me build and painted by Lewis Morgan.

If you want the ships done by me can be purchased here.
As you can see here and here I started using the new Games workshop Contrast paints on the new Vietnam war ranges of Empress and Gringo 40.
As I am on my summer holiday now I took a few figures with me and will paint them up over the coming fortnight.
Here is the first figure finished. Grunt No I , a Empress miniature sculpted by Paul Hicks:

Next one tomorrow. The Uniform equipment and skin was done in Contrast paints the rest conventionally.

I finished the coastal freighter as a auxiliary Gunboat. The weapons are as always from the Warlord and Heroic & Pos weapons sets. VP 1037 is a Vorpostenboot as it was very often used in the channel , north sea and the baltic during the second WW. It was used for escort duties for small convoys , or for escorting U boats back to base through the biscay sea.
And a size comparison with a E boat:

You can get a Auxiliary Gunboat here.
