My sons figures

I added a page for the figures my son paints. He is painting figures for quite a long time now . I think he is quite good at it, He even won an award at the Salute painting competition a few years back.

He is a big Star Wars fan and plays a lot of Imperial Assault at the moment here are a few figures from the game he painted up:

Fantasy flight games announces the new starter box for x wing.

Featuring beautifully detailed painted miniatures, X-Wing is a two-player game of dramatic starfighter battles set in the Star Wars universe. You and your opponent take command of Resistance X-wings and First Order TIE fighters, then battle head-to-head for the fate of the galaxy.

Secretly plot your maneuvers, fly at your enemies, take aim, and fire. It takes just minutes to learn the rules, but the nearly limitless possibilities for squad building, along with the ability to expand your fleet with other ships from the game’s expansions, ensure that you’ll find plenty of Star Wars action to explore and enjoy for years to come!

A game of Imperial Assault

game1

My son is a huge fan of Star Wars. So we had a couple of games of Imperial Assault. I must say it is a game system which is very easy to learn and gives a very star wars like feel while playing.

We played leave no evidence as a single scenario not as a campaign setting and had great fun.

Sadly I have to admit that the evil empire won . Don”t ask which side I played ! It is to embarrassing !

The Last Kingdom

The-Last-Kingdom

The Last Kingdom is a forthcoming television adaptation of Bernard Cornwell’s best-selling series of historical novels known as The Saxon Stories. The series will premiere on October 10, 2015 on BBC America.

Set in the late ninth century, when what is known as England today was several separate kingdoms. The Anglo-Saxon lands are attacked and in many instances ruled by Viking forces. The kingdom of Wessex has been left standing alone under the command of King Alfred the Great. The main protagonist, Uhtred – the orphaned son of a Saxon nobleman, is kidnapped by norsemen and raised as one of them. Forced to choose between a kingdom that shares his ancestry and the people of his upbringing, his loyalties are ever tested.

Frostgrave into the breading pits (coming June 2016)

frost into

With this new supplement for Frostgrave, players can lead their warbands into the vast network of catacombs, sewers, and dungeons that run underneath the Frozen City. It was in these dark confines that the ancient wizards known as Beastcrafters experimented on living creatures, creating strange hybrids and deadly monsters, many of which still roam the forgotten passageways. Along with a host of new scenarios, treasures, soldiers, and creatures, the book also contains rules for the traps and secret passages that are often found in the dungeons. With the wonderful and rare magical treasures to be discovered, will players risk taking their warbands down into the Breeding Pits?

Tried out Lion Rampant

lionrampant1

Just tried out the Lion Rampant rules by Daniel Mersey with my son.

Lion Rampant is a set of simple miniature wargaming rules designed for fighting historical or Hollywood battles in the medieval period, from the rise of the Normans to the Hundred Years’ War and beyond. Beyond means for us we wanted to use it in a Game of Thrones  setting. It works a treat for that purpose I have to say. The reason for that is that there are no hard army lists in the rules . All in all the rules are very easy to learn and use and give a very neat game experience. Recommended for people wanting a quick game without a ton of lists and rules for every possible situation.

We are only waiting for this to incorporate the Targaryen Dragons!
